In 2015, Queen Margrethe turned 75. On this occasion, JJ Film in collaboration with TV2 produced a unique portrait of Denmark’s monarch. The film follows Her Majesty closely in her everyday life, from official royal duties to private pursuits, in sun, rain, and snow. Along the way, she reflects on her role as sovereign, motherhood, love, and what it means to be Queen in a time of change, as public attitudes toward the Royal House evolve. The film offers a rare insight into the balance between a inherited public role and private passions—between Queen and Margrethe.
